Patricia Ventura is a Brazilian-born German architect and researcher whose practice centers on cooperative housing and the ecological and socio-political impacts of participatory design strategies. Her theoretical research explores the transdisciplinary spatial expressions of transformative micropolitics. She has taught and conducted research at the ETH Zürich Department of Architecture and the Institute of Architecture and Landscape at Graz University of Technology in Austria, focusing particularly on participatory ecological urbanism and the intersection between architecture and contemporary environmental philosophies. She has exhibited her work at both the Venice and São Paulo Architecture Biennales. Her international experience includes exchange fellowships and research & teaching collaborations with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Ain Shams University in Cairo, and the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). She has studied Philosophy and History of Art at Humboldt University in Berlin, holds a Master's degree in Architecture from the Technical University of Berlin, and completed her Doctor of Science in Urbanism at Graz University of Technology.
