Patricia Lucena Ventura is a Brazilian-born German architect and researcher. Her practice focuses on cooperative housing production and the political and socio-economic impact of participatory design strategies. Her theoretical work examines transdisciplinary spatial manifestations of transformative micropolitical processes, considering flexible subjectivities and more-than-human agencies as equal actors within social and cultural environments. She has taught and researched at the ETH Zürich Department of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Angélil, and at the Institute of Architecture and Landscape, Prof. Klaus Loenhart, at the Graz University of Technology in Austria. In her teaching, she focuses on participative ecological urbanism and the relationship between architecture and contemporary environmental philosophies. She has studied Philosophy and History of Art at the Humboldt University, Berlin. She holds a Master's degree in Architecture (Technical University, Berlin) and a Doctor of Science in Urbanism (Graz University of Technology, Austria).
